This is interesting. An associate professor of Stanford University, Thomas Dee, says that teachers' gender actually affects students' learning. He believes that boys learn better from male teachers and girls from female teachers...
hmmm... i don't know how true this study is. I personally feel that i learn better from an all-girl environment. Gender of the teachers doesn't really concern me, (I actually enjoy having a good looking male teacher sometimes) tho i can't say so for everyone else. I believe that how a student achieves academically really depends on a lot of factors. for example, the way of teaching, a student's learning attitude and ability and more and more...
to me, a GOOD teacher is someone who has real passion for the job, pays attention to the uniqueness and development of each of his students, helps to bring out their potentials but at the same time, not rigid on drawing a clear line b/w teachers and students, treat the kids with respect and not see them from a highly authorative point of view. hehe~ o well... it's always easier said than done... everyone has their own ideals. so... wait til (if ever) i become one and see if i teach what i preach la... o_O

and you know... i KNEW this movie was going to be sad, but i NEVER expect it to be THIS SAD!!! *tears* i mean... seriously... i couldnt help but tears just kept rolling down my cheeks and i must say i tried ALL i could to hold them back OREDI! aaahhhh... but it's nice in a way... tho i'm not exactly satisfied with the ending... *tears*

He loved her like there was no tomorrow

but i guess a couple of movies before sch starts tml won't hurt ba... ^o^
